Welcome to the Chrome River CURRENTS blog. I wanted this initial post to announce that we were the first technology company with a blog, but I understand that there are actually already a few others. OK, so clearly not the first, but it’s the first blog from *us* and we are excited that you are here.
Chrome River has a mix of talented people with backgrounds in a variety of financial and expense management industries. We will use this blog to share with you interesting ideas on our views of expense management, invoice automation, expense audit controls, spend analytics and all things related to improving these processes for your business. You will hear from us directly, we will share related information from other industry sources, and we may even have a guest blogger now and then.
We will also share our ideas on technology and design. Since we founded Chrome River, we have been focused on the simple mission to bring new solutions to old business problems and deliver them in unique ways that are easy on our customers and all of their users. We have been passionately working to deliver "collaborative cost control" through the blending of a clean, simple user experience built on top of the latest and most powerful technologies. So, in addition to the expense management field in general, we may strike up discussions on the latest technologies and other business-improvement enablers that will make all of our work lives better.
As businesses worldwide look to better automate their accounts payable workflow functions, we will be there designing and implementing solutions to help our customers gain greater visibility and control over their expense spending. Leading companies are now dramatically improving this area as a strategic advantage to improve profitability. Increasing pressures on economic profits were probably best summarized in the words of the great Yogi Berra when he scoffed, “A nickel just ain’t worth a dime anymore.” Let’s think about that one while we make watching and controlling expenses easy.
